Rupina lives with her husband, their 7 children, and one nephew
and one niece.
Her oldest child is 20 and the youngest is 3.
Her husband works in a nearby prison.
The government provides a house with 2 rooms (a
bedroom and a sitting room).
Her children’s school is in the prison barracks.
She moved to Jinja 18 years ago from the Gulu District because of the war.
Their old house was burned.
Her brother was taken from his house and killed.
They then took in the nephew and niece.
When in Gulu, they use to dig at home.
She would like to buy maize, grind
it, and sell posho. Currently she buys and sells fish.
