Akena is the sixth born child, and lives with his mother, father, and 8 siblings in the Kitgum area.
His father works some with the ministry of works. They are part of the World Food Program, and use any money they have for school fees and medications.
Akena likes to study and his favorite subjects are English and science. He wants to be an engineer.
He also likes to read and play soccer with friends. He helps the family by fetching water and digging in the garden.
