Achoyo Samin
Achoyo lives with her grandmother who provides a home for her and six other of her grandchildren.
Achoyo is the 3rd oldest of the 7 grandchildren. Her
grandmother is a widow from Tororo who husband was originally from the Kitgum area.
In addition, to being a subsistence farmer, the grandmother also earns a small income by selling small moonfish.
Achoyo likes studying and reading. She helps her grandmother
with housework and by helping dig in a plot where they grow some food for the family to eat such as beans, maize, ground nuts and matooke.
Your sponsorship of Achoyo will help assure that she
remains in school especially as she transitions to secondary school in early 2009,
and will help her grandmother be able to keep more of her other grandchildren in
school also.
